Therapy for Depression
Depression can look very different from person to person.
For some people, it feels heavy and obvious, low mood, exhaustion, hopelessness, or difficulty getting through the day. For others, it shows up more quietly: emotional numbness, burnout, irritability, disconnection, overthinking, substance use, doomscrolling, or feeling like you’ve gradually stopped feeling like yourself.
Depression can make it difficult to feel motivated, connected, hopeful, or emotionally present, even when part of you wants things to feel different. Therapy can help you feel more emotionally connected, engaged, motivated, and capable again.
Our work together focuses on helping you:
Feel less emotionally shut down, overwhelmed, or stuck
Rebuild motivation, momentum, and healthier daily routines
Have more energy for relationships, work, and the parts of life that matter most
Reduce self-criticism, shame, and the feeling that you’re constantly falling behind
Feel more emotionally present and connected to yourself and others
Develop practical tools for managing stress, difficult emotions, and negative thought patterns
Feel more like yourself again and more capable of moving forward with your life
Clients often describe my style as warm, direct, practical, and genuinely supportive. My goal is to create a space where you feel emotionally safe enough to be honest while also helping you create meaningful movement, not endless analysis.
I work with adults and older teens navigating depression, burnout, chronic stress, emotional numbness, self-esteem struggles, and depression that overlaps with anxiety, trauma, ADHD, or major life transitions.
I offer private-pay depression therapy in Concord, MA, serving MetroWest clients in person and via telehealth across Massachusetts.
Individual therapy sessions are $200 for 55 minutes. Superbills are available for clients using out-of-network benefits.
