Psychotherapy for Adults
Thoughtful individual psychotherapy for people navigating change, stress, and complex inner lives.
Based in Concord, Massachusetts, serving adults across MetroWest, Greater Boston, and online statewide.
When things feel stuck, overwhelming, or harder than they should be.
Many people I work with are capable, thoughtful, and used to managing a lot on their own. Still, they find themselves feeling persistently stressed, disconnected, or thought in patterns they don’t fully understand. Therapy can offer a space to slow things down, make sense of what’s happening, and approach these challenges with more clarity and intention.
Sound familiar?
You feel internally tense or on edge, even when nothing is obviously wrong
Relationships feel repetitive, distant, or harder than they used to be
You’re navigating a transition and questioning old assumptions about yourself or your life
You’ve tried to “think your way through it,” but something still isn’t shifting
Hi, I’m David Slatkin, MA, LCSW
I offer integrative, depth-oriented psychotherapy for adults who are thoughtful, capable, and often high-achieving, yet feel anxious, stuck, disconnected, or uncertain beneath the surface of their lives. My work is grounded in contemporary psychotherapy and informed by an interdisciplinary background in science, psychology, philosophy, and contemplative practice.
I have particular experience working with anxiety, depression, ADHD, high-functioning autism (ASD), trauma and PTSD, panic attacks, identity-related concerns, men’s issues, and LGBTQ+ clients, as well as individuals navigating chronic or acute illness, grief, and end-of-life questions.
For clients who are interested, I also offer optional animal-assisted therapy with my certified therapy dog, which some people find supportive for emotional regulation and a sense of ease in the therapeutic space. If you’re looking for therapy that is thoughtful, grounded, and willing to engage complexity with care, you’re welcome to learn more about my approaches and background.
